SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved through a method for filtering events for transmission to a remote device, which contains stages in which: for each collected event, its type is determined, and for each type the proportion of events to be transmitted to a remote device among events of this type is determined; the time interval for which a given number of events were collected is determined; among the events of each type, a proportion of events is selected for transmission to the remote device; setting the proportion of events for at least one type of events depending on the result of comparing a certain time interval with a given time period; the previous steps are performed with respect to subsequent collected events, taking into account the updated proportion of events for at least one event type.
EFFECT: reducing the load on the computing resources of a remote device that processes events received from at least one computer.
