FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to three-wheeled vehicles used in mountain operating conditions and can be used in the design of motorcycles with a side trailer. A motorcycle with a side trailer for mountain slopes is equipped with an actuator for automatically tilting the motorcycle, consisting of an electric-screw linear actuator connected on one side by a pivotally fixed support with the frame of the motorcycle, on the other side by a pivotally fixed support with the supporting structure of the side trailer. The tilt mechanism of the motorcycle relative to the side trailer is controlled automatically without the driver’s participation, depending on the angle of inclination of the slope, and constant monitoring of the vertical position of the motorcycle is carried out by a pendulum roll sensor installed on the motorcycle and a control unit that sends a control signal to the actuator. The automatic system for stabilizing the motorcycle relative to the side trailer is turned on forcibly and is used if necessary, depending on the city or mountain conditions.

EFFECT: design of a motorcycle with a side trailer allows the motorcycle to tilt relative to the side trailer and the supporting surface in a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement.
