FIELD: rocket and space engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of discharging liquid residues of a rocket fuel component from a tank of a separated part (SP) of a carrier rocket (CR) stage into the environment includes stages at which, due to the rotation of the SP stage around the centre of mass of the CR, a centrifugal force is created, which presses the liquid residues of fuel to the wall of the fuel tank (FT), gas is fed into FT to a value of pressure in FT corresponding to maximum strength FT, when the specified pressure value in the FT is reached, the gas-liquid mixture discharge line of the fuel residues is opened and the gas supply to the FT is maintained until the end of the liquid fuel residues ejection process, wherein number of gas feed points, gas feed direction and gas mass flow rate are determined by numerical simulation of equations of two-phase flow dynamics in FT on the basis of preset time interval of discharge of liquid fuel residues into ambient space.

EFFECT: reduced amount of liquid fuel residues in SP tanks of rocket stages under low gravity conditions.
