FIELD: sanitary equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to shutoff and control valves, in particular to a stepped cartridge of a single-lever mixer, a detachable adjustment frame for such a cartridge and a method of making such a cartridge. Stepped cartridge for a single-lever mixer comprises a housing in which a rod is installed with the possibility of rotation relative to a horizontal axis, equipped with at least one protrusion of the first type, note here that said rod is fitted in rotary sleeve arranged in said case to revolve about vertical axis. On the rod and on the rotary bushing there is a detachable adjustment frame formed of two vertical parts connected by two horizontal support parts, in at least one vertical part of which there are recesses of the first type, made with possibility of accommodating and engaging with said at least one protrusion of the first type in different discrete angular positions of the rod relative to said horizontal axis. Said at least one protrusion of the first type is made in the form of a spring-loaded ball.

EFFECT: proposed design changes make it possible to remove the adjustment frame from the cartridge, the ability to "turn off" the stepwise adjustment of the water flow of the cartridge, possibility to replace engaged parts of stepwise adjustment unit, possibility to change setting of discrete adjustment positions, enabling production of both stepped cartridges and stepless cartridges on one production line, as well as the possibility of converting already produced stepless cartridges into stepped cartridges and vice versa.
