FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of coupling welded joint of polymer pipes and can be used for determination of strength of welded joint of polymer pipes. Said technical result is achieved by the fact that samples of coupling welded joints of polymer pipes with artificially reduced area of the welded seam after welding are tested for tearing using special test equipment.
EFFECT: determination of total strength of a socket welded joint by a weld applied to any standard size of a pipe and any previously welded socket welded joint.
