SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and a method, intended for use in petrochemistry and machine building, more specifically in protection of pipes or similarly shaped objects from external or internal damage or wear. System is a system for protection of ends and inner space of coated pipes using the coating itself and other additional devices. System includes collar (1), spacer element (2), coating (3), outer ring (4) and cover (5), used in the process line for the pipe coating process using the outer coating itself, preventing corrosion and mechanical damage of ends/chamfer in the area of the shoulder, subjected to sandblasting, and inner surface, which occur as a result of storage, and transportation to place of use, and welding in field conditions or on ship.

EFFECT: system for protection of coated pipes for surface and underwater pipelines and a method for protection of pipes are proposed.
