FIELD: synthesis of polyethylene terephthalate.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a complex stabilizer for the synthesis of polyethylene terephthalate based on a phosphorus-containing compound, which is characterized by the fact that at the initial stage of the process, montmorillonite clay is thoroughly mixed with distilled water at a ratio of 1:2 for 60 minutes, and then combined with ethylene glycol, the quantitative ratio of montmorillonite to ethylene glycol is 1:6, respectively, then a stabilizer is added to the resulting homogenized mixture, the amount of which corresponds to 10-50 wt.%.
EFFECT: production of a complex stabilizer that reduces the colour of polyethylene terephthalate when using titanium-containing catalysts.
