FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a method of producing microwires in glass insulation with a conductor from a precision alloy of the Ni-Cr-Si system, produced by the Taylor-Ulitovsky method on a microwire casting unit, and can be used to create high-resistance, high-precision and high-stable resistors. Glass insulation used is a borosilicate tube with a weighed portion of a precision alloy inside and a sealed end, which is smoothly lowered at rate of 1.5–3 mm/min in the field of a high-frequency inductor, wherein the cast microwire is wound on a receiving rotating reel with diameter of 20–40 mm at rate of 200–400 rpm.
EFFECT: increased stability of core thickness and strength characteristics of microwire due to elimination of cracks on surface of glass insulation.
