FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of petroleum oils, in particular, to treatment of used motor mineral oils from aging products and contaminants and can be used at enterprises operating and repairing engines, enterprises engaged in collection and processing of waste oils as a base for preparation of secondary oils, grease, technical fluids. Method of cleaning used motor mineral oil consists in heating oil to 80 °C, and 1 vol.% of monoethanolamine, solution of 1 vol.% of carbamide in 2 vol.% of ammonium hydroxide are added to the oil. Obtained mixture is stirred, heated and settled. Settled upper part of oil is decanted into a separate container, heated to 60–70 °C, after which N-methylpyrrolidone is added in amount of 10–20 vol.% to the volume of the purified oil. Obtained mixture is stirred for 5–10 minutes and settled for 8–10 hours.
EFFECT: disclosed method will make it possible to purify and obtain oil with improved physical and chemical characteristics and consumer properties.
