Milk tube (38) of milking unit (30) comprises an outer wall surface (62), an inner wall surface forming a milk channel having an upstream direction and a downstream direction, and located downstream end for connection to milk manifold, including device for positioning and release. Positioning and releasing device is configured to be compressed in the downstream direction to bend the adjacent portion outwardly for contact with the milk tube inlet.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of milk tube, simplified attachment to nipple of milk collector.
