FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents a bacterial strain S. anthocyanicus VKM Ac-2991, deposited in the All-Russian collection of cultures of microorganisms under number VKM Ac-2991D. On a rich medium, it forms colonies of different colours depending on the carbon source and energy. On medium 5/5 IBFM, the culture synthesizes a blue pigment, on a mineral medium with sucrose, glycerol, maltose and lactose, the colour of the culture liquid varies from pale pink to crimson. Genome size of this strain is 8,326,612 base pairs. Presence of the ectoine coding gene indicates potential stress resistance of the strain to salinity conditions.
EFFECT: strain Streptomyces anthocyanicus VKM Ac-2991D is capable of inhibiting growth of such phytopathogens as Fusarium avenaceum VKM F-132, Rhizoctonia solani VKM F-895, Pythium vexans VKM F-1193, Aspergillus unguis VKM F-1754, Alternaria brassicicola VKM F-1864, Penicillium gladioli VKM F-2088, Bipolaris sorokiniana VKM F-4006, Botrytis cinerea VKM F-4549, Pythium ultimum VKM F-4782, Aeromonas veronii (a) and Bacillus cereus GAST.
