FIELD: fish industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to growing of juveniles and commercial fish in ponds, and can be used in pond fish farms. Method involves filling a pond with water, keeping fish in it, fertilizing the pond with organic and mineral fertilizers, cultivation of zooplankton in containers, feeding fish with mixed fodder and zooplankton. On three dams of the pond, through which the water supply channel does not pass, tanks for cultivation of zooplankton are placed, seven on each of the three dams. Bottom of reservoirs is located above water level in ponds. Width and depth of containers are set no more than 60–70 cm. Upper edge of containers is not higher than 10 cm above ground level. In the first–second decade of May, the zooplankton cultivation vessels are daily, one by one, filled with water by adding a mother culture of daphnia magna in amount of 10 g/m³ and fodder yeast in amount of 20 g/m³. After 21 days, water with zooplankton is drained into the pond from the first container, and the procedure for filling it with water is repeated, the mother culture of daphnia and fodder yeast are added, on the next day—from the second container, repeating such a procedure daily until the end of the fish growing season. At water temperature of 15 °C and higher, quicklime is introduced into the pond at rate of 150 kg/ha.

EFFECT: invention provides higher productivity while reducing feed costs.
