FIELD: cosmonautics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods and means of preventing the fall of large fragments of separable parts (SP) of carrier rocket (CR) to the Earth, such as tail and transition compartments of the carrier rocket. Proposed method includes preliminary calculation of SP motion parameters before their fall to Earth and determination on the descent trajectory of sections for thermal action on the SP made from a polymer composite material (PCM). At that, in the extra-atmospheric section, pyrolysis of the SP material is carried out (evaporation of the binding matrix of the PCM and reinforcing structure weakening) during solid-flame SHS combustion. Reduction of PCM characteristics during flight and pyrolysis in this section is provided from the condition of dispersion of SP at entry into dense layers of atmosphere. Proposed device includes SP structure from PCM and a modular combustion system (MCS), in which mixed powders realizing SHS-combustion are used. MCS is installed on pre-prepared places in structure of SP.
EFFECT: guaranteed destruction of SP to fine particles scattered and burnt in atmosphere.
