FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermo- and calorimetry, in particular, to creation of heat flow sensors. Invention discloses a method and a device for making thermal columns. For this purpose, prepared for welding workpieces of thermal columns from known pairs of thermocouple wires using an endless conveyor, they are continuously moved relative to a fixed microplasma burner at a given speed, which ensures formation of qualitative identical junctions. Manufacturing method includes the following operations: winding of thermocouple wires on the mandrel with formation on its side surfaces of branches of two thermal columns connected to each other at transitions from plane to plane, and fixation of their position by pressure plates; cutting connections of thermal columns in the middle of transitions with bending of adjacent to each other formed tips of thermocouple wires into a position convenient for welding; laying prepared workpieces of two thermal columns on guides for their movement by pushers of conveyor along fixed burner; return of each workpiece after welding of the first row of solders to the guides for welding of the following rows; instrumental-visual quality control of junctions; removal of pressure plates and finished thermal columns—two from each workpiece. Novelty is as follows: simultaneous arrangement of thermocouple wires of two workpieces of thermal columns of a given size and with a given pitch with tips of thermocouple wires prepared for welding on a mandrel and subsequent forced displacement of the obtained workpieces relative to the fixed burner at a rate which provides for the formation of high-quality junctions of the same size.
EFFECT: creation of high-efficiency technology of production of multi-soldered thermal columns of required size and quality, suitable for use at temperatures from ultra-low (liquid helium temperature) to plus 2,500°C.
