FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to increase efficiency of the process of water flooding of productive formations and to prevent breakthrough of their roof and bottom when pumping water into injection wells in carbonate reservoirs. Disclosed is a method for controlling the rate of increasing pressure of water pumping into carbonate reservoirs, which includes pumping water into injection wells and controlling the value of pumping pressure. Note here that pumping pressure is increased in at least two stages whereat pumping pressure is kept constant. Duration of each of the stages is selected to exceed the pressure equalization time in the blocks and in the fracture space of the rock, determined by results of hydrodynamic studies of wells at this deposit.
EFFECT: reduced probability of carbonate reservoirs top and bottom breakthrough at initial stage of water injection into injection wells.
