FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle fuel tank comprises tank housing (1), filler neck (2) with detachable flange (3), fuel intake tube (4) and metal vertical partitions (5) with radial holes along the entire surface, attached to the upper inner walls of tank housing (1) by means of quick-detachable fixture (6), on external surfaces of vertical partitions (5) by means of plate clamps (7) are fixed polyurethane foam plates (8) with number of pores per linear inch of not more than 60. To inner walls of tank housing (1) at height of 15…20 mm from the upper end of fuel intake tube (4), corrosion-resistant to fuel metal mesh (9) is rigidly fixed, on the horizontal surface of which on the side of filler neck (2) there is foamed polyurethane plate (10) with the number of pores per linear inch of not more than 40, which together with the bottom of housing (1) of the tank forms a sediment cavity.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of fuel tank usage and reliability of units and assemblies of motor vehicle engines supply system due to tank design simplification, improved serviceability of the tank for maintenance and creation of conditions for additional cleaning of fuel from contaminants.
