FIELD: biotechnology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents an antifungal agent against a number of human and animal pathogenic fungi. What is presented is the use of human interferon alpha-2b fused through a linker from the C-terminus with the amino acid sequence of mature human apolipoprotein A-I as an antifungal agent.
EFFECT: disclosed is an antifungal agent for expanding the spectrum of antifungal action rIFN-α2b-ApoA-I against pathogenic fungi Alternaria alternate, Fusarium oxysporum, Aspergillus species, Penicillum species; reducing the toxicity of the antifungal agent by using its therapeutically significant dose of 15–150 ng/ml; providing direct fungicidal action in contact with a fungal infection agent.
