FIELD: production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of hardening composite materials based on acrylonitrile butadiene styrene. Disclosed is a method of modifying the surface of carbon fiber to improve physical and mechanical properties by applying boehmite nanostructures, consisting in the fact that, first, a substrate coating is obtained on the fibers, including the steps of impregnating with boehmite sol, drying and calcination, then subjected to hydrothermal treatment by placing them in an autoclave with a reaction solution—a suspension consisting of aluminum nitrate and a precipitator, wherein the precipitant used is sodium hydroxide or urea, followed by holding at 160°C.
EFFECT: obtaining a reinforcing relief coating of boehmite on the surface of carbon fiber to improve physical and mechanical characteristics of polymer composite material based on ABS plastic, filled with modified carbon fibers.
