FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of metal profiles used in construction and machine building. At the first stage, during movement of the tape along its longitudinal edges, triangular-shaped teeth are formed. At the second stage, side parts of the tape are bent. At the next stages, the belt is bent to form a C-shaped profile with a middle wall, side walls and sections with triangular teeth bent into the inner space of the profile. Bending of side parts of belt at second stage is performed with production of bends, from which sections with triangular teeth are formed at subsequent stages, bent into inner space of the profile. At least one fold is formed on each part of the band, from which the side wall of the profile is formed, as the band advances.
EFFECT: as a result, a profile with increased bending and torsional rigidity is provided.
