FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in equipment for grinding paper and cardboard wastes. Device for grinding paper wastes comprises loading funnel (1) and grinding unit (2) with disc knives (5) with teeth (6) fixed in staggered order on parallel shafts (3, 4). Between knives (5) there are spacer rings (7) and baffle plates. Disc knife (5) of the device is made in the form of a disc having six radially protruding teeth (6) with sharpened cutting edges. Each shaft is equipped with two long keys of increased cross-section for transfer of torque to disk knives, disc knives and spacer rings on each shaft are tightened by pins into a single package so that teeth of disc knives are located along helical lines, the axis of which coincides with axis of the shaft. First ends of the pins are fixed in the threaded holes in the first knife, their second ends are fixed by means of nuts on the last spacer ring, and the fixed pack of disc knives and spacer rings is fixed on the shaft by means of a threaded nut pressing it to the lock ring installed on the opposite end of the shaft. On teeth of disc knives behind cutting edges backing-off is made at angle of 16°, changing into a tangent line, the front parts of the teeth are made along an arc and have chamfers on two thirds of the tooth thickness, located on the disc knife teeth in a staggered order and made at angle of 20° to front surface of teeth.

EFFECT: eliminating the possibility of displacement of disc knives and spacer rings relative to each other and destruction of their seats, as well as increasing the angle of capture of the crushed material and enhancing the destructive effect on it.
