METHOD FOR SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF TWO-LEVEL DEGENERATIVE DISEASE OF LUMBAR SPINE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B17/70

Abstract RU 2831911 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used for surgical treatment of two-level degenerative disease of lumbar spine. Surgical intervention is started with simultaneous paravertebral percutaneous puncture transpedicular installation on both sides of trocars and immersion of guide pins into them. Paravertebral incisions of the skin, subcutaneous fat and thoracolumbar fascia are performed: on one side, one for manipulations on the overlying intervertebral disc, on the opposite side, two: the first for puncture introduction of the transpedicular screw, the second for manipulations on the underlying intervertebral disc. Stages of decompression and interbody stabilization are performed simultaneously and transpedicular fixation is performed on both sides under fluoroscopic control. Surgical intervention is completed by closure of postoperative wounds simultaneously by two surgeons.

EFFECT: method provides effective elimination of compression of neural structures, creation of maximum conditions for restoration of quality of life, labour and social rehabilitation due to the fact that the incision line and angles of attack resemble a staggered field, which reduces the length of skin incisions and the degree of damage to paravertebral muscles, without reducing the quality of intraoperative imaging.
