ROTARY CHANNEL ENGINE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC F01D1/22 F01D1/32

Abstract RU 2832511 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely to gas turbine engines (hereinafter referred to as GTE), and installations based on them, designed to obtain torque on the shaft, providing rotation of aircraft propellers, for example, aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aircraft, etc., and drive shafts of their auxiliary power plants, as well as drive shafts of units and mechanisms of land and water vehicles, steam electric generators, pumps, compressors of transfer stations. Technical result is achieved by solving the technical task of creating a rotary channel engine configured to supply hot gases from a combustion chamber, compressed air, steam from a steam generator or gases as a detonation product of explosive substances to the inlet as a working medium under high pressure; motor includes a movable rotor and a fixed stator; fixed stator consists of a working disc with Laval nozzles located on it tangentially to the inner circumference, an outer wall with holes through which the working medium is supplied to the Laval nozzles, as well as a labyrinth seal; rotating rotor consists of a working disc with Laval nozzles located on it tangentially to the outer circumference, a front wall with a labyrinth seal, wherein the working disc of the rotor is rigidly connected to the shaft; rotor working disk aerodynamic surface and stator front wall form an annular diffuser, through which the working medium enters the rotor Laval nozzles; between the inner part of the stator and the outer part of the rotor there is an annular gap, through which the working medium which has given up its energy comes out with a residual pressure, which is directed into the atmosphere or to the inlet of the next stage; wherein rotor and stator jet nozzles are directed towards each other. Besides, the rotary-channel engine is characterized by the fact that it is arranged with the possibility of cascade sequential arrangement in the form of stages on one shaft, so that output gases of the previous engine are supplied to the inlet of the next rotor-channel engine.

EFFECT: creation of an engine having the following technical advantages: simple design, simpler production technology, higher specific power, higher reliability and longer life, possibility of using a simple cooling system at high temperatures of gases coming from combustion chambers and supplied to the engine inlet.
