FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for detecting and correcting errors in codes of a polynomial system of residue classes when performing calculations and transformations implemented in the Galois field GF (28). Device has a register, an error syndrome calculation unit, an error syndrome comparison unit, an adder, wherein the error syndrome calculation unit has two error syndrome calculation units, each having four multi-input modulo two adders.
EFFECT: implementation of error detection and correction in codes of polynomial system of residue classes when performing calculations and transformations implemented in Galois field GF (28) with reduction of hardware costs.
