FIELD: chemistry; mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of water-based drilling fluids for drilling oil and gas wells in difficult mining and geological conditions. Composition for producing a water-based drilling fluid contains the following, wt.%: bactericide Atren Bio grade A™ 0.1-0.3; sodium carboxymethyl cellulose 0.5-8.0; sodium bentonite not more than 5; antifoaming agent 0.3-0.5; lubricating additive 0.2-2; calcium chloride 0.2-4; Al2O3, SiO2 and Fe2O3 nanopowders with particle diameter of 20-50 nm from more than 0.1 to 5; soluble sodium and potassium salts 0.5-15; water – balance.
EFFECT: creation of water-based drilling fluid with isolated, stable, strong nano-sized structure, which allows to optimize its composition with variation of process and physical-chemical parameters, reducing the use of chemicals and additives, volumes of utilization wastes, contamination of soil, water resources and air, ensuring the stability of the well walls, reducing the friction coefficient and wear of the steel pair, and increasing the drilling efficiency.
