FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of filter materials. Disclosed is a method of producing a filter tube from a stem of reed of the genus Phragmites australis, which involves harvesting reed stems with height of 3.5 m. Stems are stripped from leaves to obtain an even outer surface, the stem is cut into pieces, sorted and tubes of the same size are selected, then a circular filtering partition is placed in each tube, the diameter of which corresponds to the internal diameter of the tube. For production of annular filtering partition, thin-fibre layers of elementary fibres are used, which cover inner surface of stem of biologically immature reed stems of genus Phragmites australis during vegetation period.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a tubular filter element, which ensures purification of waste water from finely dispersed suspended impurities with size of about 0.5 mm with efficiency of 96-98%.
