FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of liquid-propellant rocket engine (LPE) and can be used in rocket engineering as a method of controlling liquid-propellant engine. Method of controlling a liquid-propellant engine by the ratio of fuel components consists in the fact that fuel component ratio is controlled by bypassing through normally closed automatic control units installed in bypass lines for each of the fuel components after the high-pressure pump at the pump inlet or at the engine inlet, which are opened only in response to commands from the control system.
EFFECT: this method is used to control mass ratio of fuel components in liquid-propellant engine and allows to completely eliminate any power consumption of pumps during operation with nominal ratio of components, to reduce weight, to increase engine reliability and to simplify the process of its control.
