FIELD: radio communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio communication and can be used in digital radio receivers of signals with programmed operating frequency adjustment (POFA). Method for automatic adjustment of sensitivity of radio receiver of signals with POFA consists in the fact that determination of optimum attenuation of attenuator of radio receiver at each operating frequency is carried out using software-created separate measuring channels, which are tuned to frequencies at which transmission of the message is provided, immediately before the beginning of reception on these frequencies of message fragments, and determining the total noise levels in the frequency bands occupied by the useful signal spectrum, comparing the measured total noise levels with the sensitivity thresholds of the radio receiving device at these frequencies and determining attenuation values of the attenuator of the radio receiving device, which provide optimum signal-to-noise ratios when receiving message fragments at these frequencies.

EFFECT: increased signal-to-noise ratio at each operating frequency during reception of signals with POFA in the existing noise environment.
