FIELD: ships; floating facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of rescue of ships in distress as a result of breach in side at collision with another ship, iceberg, rocky ledges or as a result of damage by torpedo or unmanned boat. To prevent sinking of surface ship with breach of tightness in its surface-underwater surface, each compartment of the ship is equipped with a valve for fixing an increase in water level, as well as niches in walls and floor, containing flexible inflatable shells in folded compact form. Each flexible inflatable shell is secured by cord to technical elements located in ship compartments. Ship is equipped with an emergency control system for automatic opening of valves of cylinders supplying polyurethane foam to flexible inflatable shells. Control system input is connected to the output of each water level increase fixing valve, and outlets – with devices for closing doors of compartments on bulkheads, devices for ejection of compactly laid flexible shells, valves of cylinders for filling flexible shells with polyurethane foam and pumps for ejection of penetrating outboard water.
EFFECT: efficient prevention of sinking of surface ship with breach.
