SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grounding current collectors of wheel pairs. Current collector for an electric vehicle comprises a housing with a cover, inside which there is a brush holder with radial brushes pressed by a coil spring to a slip ring. Coil spring is made in the form of a strip, one end of which is fixed on the brush holder, and the second end has the shape of a flat spiral and is installed so that it can act on the end of the brush. Brush holder with brushes is fixed on end face of wheel pair axle and can rotate together with it relative to slip ring. Slip ring is fixed in the fixed housing and the end surfaces of the brushes can slide on the inner surface of the cylindrical slip ring.

EFFECT: reduced dimensions and increased reliability of the current collector.
