FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in production of impregnated fabric bases with high fire and water resistance. Disclosed is a method of producing hydrophobic fire- and water-resistant films, involving preparation at room temperature of a composition based on fluoroplastic, applying the obtained composition on a fabric base in a drying chamber at temperature of 150-180 °C with subsequent drying. Fabric base used is glass fabric, or aramid fabric, or basalt fabric. Fluoroplastic-based composition is prepared by mixing fluoroplastic suspension in water, introducing into the obtained solution with further mixing a fixative based on blocked isocyanates or melamine-formaldehyde resin and an additive into the obtained mixture of a polyvinyl acetate dispersion. Also disclosed is a composition for making hydrophobic fire- and water-resistant films.
EFFECT: reduced time and simplified preparation of hydrophobic fire- and water-resistant films without loss of quality characteristics on water resistance and fire-resistance of obtained films.
