FIELD: metal forming.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in shaping variable-curvature shells, for example, aircraft contour-forming skins. Step-by-step shaping of sheet blank is performed at stretching press. Shaping process is simulated in the CAE system by stretching the blank along a symmetric puncheon placed on the table of the virtual stretching press “РО-3М”. Preservation of the location of the greatest deformations in the middle part of the blank is carried out. Wherein punch working surface geometrical modelling algorithm is developed. Algorithm includes an automated analysis of the geometry of the surface of the shell of variable curvature using the procedure of surface modelling of the shell in the CAD system and design of the punch surface in the direction of the main curvature relative to its vertex and the position of the shaping contour in the vertical plane of symmetry of the press with confirmation of the possibility of dividing the punch surface into flaps uniform in curvature.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining more accurate simulations of the process of shaping and production of shells without folds and breaks.
