SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons and military equipment, and in particular to systems for fire destruction of aerial targets using a complex of aviation weapons of a helicopter of military aviation, and can be used, in particular, in development of fire destruction systems of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). In the disclosed method, after detection, the class of the aerospace attack means to which the target belongs is determined, and if it relates to the UAV class, then its type is determined. Based on the UAV type, the most effective weapon is selected by the criterion of compliance of the effective firing range with the target detection line; additionally, the effective range of detonation of the combat part of the weapon in front of the target is determined and introduced into the system before firing.

EFFECT: increasing the effectiveness of fire by selecting a rational means of fire destruction from the aviation weapons system of an army aviation helicopter in accordance with the type of UAV being hit.
