FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for cutting billets from rolled sections of wood and other structural materials. Universal pendulum saw comprises a bed, a workpiece locking mechanism, a cutting unit in the form of a driven abrasive disc of a steel cutting disc arranged on a rocker mounted with possibility of being turned on a vertical stand. Saw is equipped with a mechanism of vertical-horizontal reciprocating movement of the cutting unit, made in the form of a link, with one end through the clevis pivotally connected to the rocker arm, and with the other end through a hinge fixed on the post, which is placed on the bed through the bracket. Second end of the link is elastically connected to the bed by means of a spring.
EFFECT: providing versatility of cutting workpieces from various materials.
