FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to organic chemistry and involves monohydrates of potassium salts of 1-(het)aryl-4,4,4-trifluorobutane-1,3-diones (1-8) of general formula:

where R=C6H5 (1), 4-Me-C6H4 (2), 4-MeO-C6H4 (3), 4-F-C6H4 (4), 4-Cl-C6H4 (5), 4-Br-C6H4 (6), 4-NO2-C6H4 (7), 2-thienyl (8), and a method for production thereof. Method is implemented by dropping alcohol solution of 1-substituted-4,4,4-trifluorobutane-1,3-dione to cooled to 0 °C aqueous of potassium hydroxide solution while stirring. Reaction mixture is then held for 15 minutes while cooling and then another 15 minutes at room temperature. Precipitate is filtered off and washed with chloroform.

EFFECT: monohydrates of potassium salts of 1-(het)aryl-4,4,4-trifluorobutane-1,3-diones (1-8), having antimicrobial and analgesic activities.
