FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to rudder to be used in empennage of wide-body long-range aircraft. Proposed composite rudder comprises front spar composed by channel-section beam and rear spar composed by Z-like beam made from polymer composite materials based on carbon fibre tapes. Left and right integral stringer panel made of polymer composite materials based on carbon fibre tapes, set of ribs including root rib and intermediate ribs made of polymer composite material, and end rib made of aluminium alloy. Diaphragms made of polymer composite material, front flaps made of polymer composite material, which are attached to diaphragms along front edge. At that, the front spar, the rear spar, the left and the lower panels are made with tapes from 1 to N packages laying with layers from 1 to n and laying direction angles 0°/±45°/90° with percentage of layers in laying: 38.88% in direction 0°, 38.88% in directions ±45°, 11.11% in direction 90°, wherein said front spar has sections of different depth.

EFFECT: obtaining a rudder of large dimensions and complex shape, with high strength and stability properties, reduced weight and efficiency of the finished product.
