FIELD: ammunition; measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building, namely, to the field of engineering ammunition testing, in particular, anti-tank mines (ATM), by evaluation of the high-explosive action characteristics. Purpose of the tests in the proposed method is to determine the destructive effect of explosion products of the ATM explosive charge on the target object, taking into account the effect of mine explosion products on various target objects, similar to types of tank caterpillars. Method for estimating the effectiveness of the ATM includes placing on an ATM test site in the ground, a movable remotely controlled pendulum ram, on the bar of which a fragment of the tank caterpillar track is fixed with an open metal hinge or with a rubber-metal hinge of a parallel type as a target object, which, when the pendulum ram lever is turned, provides the pressure action on the ground under which the ATM is located, providing its explosion, after which the caterpillar track fragment structure is visually inspected for damage to its surface and hinges.

EFFECT: increasing the information content of tests, which is achieved by determining the damaging effect of the explosion products of the ATM explosive charge on the target object, and increasing the accuracy of tests, which is achieved by taking into account the damaging effect of the mine explosion products on various target objects, similar to various types of tank caterpillars.
