FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water-based drilling fluids and can be used in drilling clay and carbonate rocks, during opening of productive terrigenous and carbonate reservoirs, especially in conditions of abnormally low formation pressures with complex profile of wells at high temperatures of up to 120 °C. Emulsion polymercationic drilling mud includes aqueous and hydrocarbon phases, polysaccharides, specifically starch and a biopolymer, ground marble, sodium chloride, ferrous hydrogen sulphide scavenger “ЖС-7”, alkalinity regulator triethanolamine, cationic copolymer polyelectrolyte Silfoc-2540C. Water phase is prepared in advance and consists of clay powder and water while hydrocarbon phase includes hydrocarbons and emulsifier “НБР-23”. Embodiment of the emulsion polymercationic drilling mud is also proposed.
EFFECT: obtaining emulsion polymercationic thermally stable drilling fluid with density of less than 1 g/cm3 for low and abnormally low formation pressures.
