FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to military equipment, namely to high-precision guided weapons installed on attack helicopters. Method of firing missiles tele-oriented in the laser beam from a helicopter, which includes aiming the aiming mark of the guidance device and the associated axes of the laser beam and the laser range finder at the target, measuring range to target and comparing it with permitted range, at a distance to a target less than the permitted range, the helicopter is manoeuvred along the orientation of the longitudinal axis of the missile launching container relative to the axis of the laser beam at a given angle and the missile is launched. Further, at a longer range to the target, the helicopter flight altitude is climbed, and at the altitude exceeding the maximum allowable range, the helicopter speed is increased in the direction of the target. At that, the permitted range to the target during the helicopter climb and the helicopter speed is determined by the projection of the helicopter speed on the axis of the radial coordinate system; maximum allowable speed; height above the target; maximum allowable height; permitted range for air temperature 0 °C, corrections to permitted ranges, taking into account current air temperature.

EFFECT: increased maximum range of missile firing from attack helicopter.
