FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has pneumatic vibration exciter, device for imparting vibrations to melt and additional cooling device. Device for imparting vibrations to melt is formed as floating vibratory member with supporting end protruding over liquid metal surface and connected with pneumatic vibration exciter. Floating vibratory member is made from refractory material. Pneumatic vibration exciter is formed as collar-valve made from resilient heat-resistant material, mainly from heat-resistant steel. Floating vibratory member has projections oriented in one direction and adapted to act upon melt in this direction. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of ingots.
