FIELD: chemical industry, photography. SUBSTANCE: more particularly the use of a stabilizer for halogen-silver photographic emulsions, complex nickel or calcium salts with an organic ligant of the general formula: AmMCl2·nH2O wherein (a) M-Ni; A is a group of the group Cl3C-(CH2)4-N-CH=N-CH-N; m= n= 2; (b) M-Ca; A is a group of the formula: NH-C(O)-(CH2)3; m is 2; n is 1. Said complexes in black-and-white halogen-silver negative film photoemulsion (its composition (wt %): 1.8 gelatin; 21 KB and K1; and AgNO3, the balance) provide not only a stabilizing effect at high temperature and moisture content for 6 months, but also a sensitizing effect. The sensitivity of the photofilm is improved by 5-25 %. EFFECT: improved properties of the stabilizer. 6 tbl
