FIELD: conversion equipment. SUBSTANCE: independent thyristor voltage inverter has bridge of main thyristors 1-6 with inverse diodes 7-12 and bridge of distributing switching thyristors 13-18. First and second bridges 22-25 and 34-37 correspondingly have commutating A.C. capacitors 26 and 38 with voltage pickups 27 and 39. In expanded range of load powers value of commutating capacitance changes with change of current load of inverter so that parameters of commutating circuit are close to optimal ones by losses for each stage of load. In case of failure of one of commutating capacitors it is disconnected with the aid of control system. Later inverter is put into operation with functioning capacitor. EFFECT: increased efficiency and functional reliability. 1 dwg
