FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: torque converter 2 has pump wheel 3, turbine 4 and reactor blades 5 forming working fluid circulation circuit 6. Fluid feed channel 8 connected to the outlet of pump 9 is made in body 7. A throttling device is formed by movable cylindrical valve 10 mounted in body 7 and forming with it chambers 12, 13. Spring 14 is mounted in chamber 13. A cylindrical raised boss is made in valve 10, and an annular chamber connected to the outlet of pump 9 is made in body 7. Chamber 12 is connected to circulation circuit 6 between turbine 4 and blades 5. Chamber 13 is connected to circulation circuit 6 between blades 5 and wheel 3. The fluid pressure value in circulation circuit 6 of torque converter 2 is maintained depending on the speed of rotation of the shaft and the load.
