METAL-RUBBER ANCHOR Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: metal-rubber anchor has stem 1, locking bolt 2 carrying fitted-on flexible bushing 3 with thrust washer 4 and split distance rings 5 at ends. Stem 1 is connected to bolt 2 by means of threaded sleeve. The latter is made in form of nut 6 and pair of bent plates 7. Plates 7, with one ends, are diametrically attached to nut 6, and with the other ends, to stem 1. Made in base of flexible bushing 3 is outer longitudinal boss 8. Made inside bushing 3, under boss 8, is recess corresponding to boss. Deep part of bolt 2 has cut 10 and is welded into flexible bushing 3 together with distance ring 5. Distance rings 5 are circular in cross-section. Assembled anchor is introduced in drilled hole up to stop of roof of supporting plate 12. In this case, boss 8 is pressed in recess 9. Due to its flexibility, bushing 3 is expanded in hole. Then, stem 1 is rotated to screw nut 6 on bolt 2 and compresses bushing 3 through thrust bushing 14 and washer 4. As a result, bushing 3 is radially expanded and pressed to hole walls. At the same time, distance rings expand and close gap between hole wall and thrusting head 13 and washer 4. As bushing 3 expands, stem 1 is tensioned. EFFECT: higher operate reliability and adaptability to manufacture of anchor. 2 cl, 6 dwg
