LIQUID-METAL COMMUTATION DEVICE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has direct voltage power supply, liquid-metal contact and load, which are connected in series. In addition device has control circuit having two comparators, 2-AND gate and 2-OR gate, RS-flip-flop, two buttons, logical circuits power supply, two stabilizing diodes and eleven resistors. Two inputs of control circuit are connected to electrodes of liquid-metal commutation device, its two outputs are connected to electromagnets for turning on and off. After short-circuit liquid-metal contact in load is opened, signal from output of comparator runs through circuits of 2-AND gate and 2-OR gate and is received by C- input of RS-flip-flop. Signal which is sent from output of RS-flip-flop is amplified and sent to electromagnet for turning liquid-metal contact off. EFFECT: increased reliability, increased functional capabilities. 1 dwg
