SUBSTANCE: method of making diamond insertions of diamond plates includes platform polishing, giving shape to the blank by cutting facets or by roughing out its perimeter, faceting the bottom which is carried out by borders depending on blank shape with slope 15 - 20 with brillianting by wedges along ribs, faceting the top in the form of platform or table with the number of borders corresponding to those of bottom, with slopes of 20 - 25. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of utilization of production waste of rough diamonds in the shape of plates having thickness of 0.6-0.9 mm. 20 dwg
