FIELD: control systems. SUBSTANCE: in intermediate speed modes during active stroke of fuel-spraying plungers the angular speed of fuel cams is increased relative to the mean speed of rotation. The acceleration is performed before the active stroke of the plungers begins, and the speed is released after the active stroke. The angular speed of gas-distributing mechanism shaft cams is increased simultaneously with increase of angular speed of the fuel cams. This speed is increased after the inlet valves begin to open, and is decreased - before the inlet valves are closed. EFFECT: improved fuel efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
