To lessen moment of forces of resistance to chimney stack fall in needed direction, reinforcement in uncovered and cut along line 6. Drilled within cut are blast holes 8. These holes are charged with explosives and blasted. EFFECT: higher accuracy of directed demolition due to reduced resistance to fall of structure on the side opposite to direction of demolition. 2 dwg
