FIELD: purification of water. SUBSTANCE: ion-exchange apparatus comprises a chamber for liquefaction of ion-exchange resin with branch pipes for admitting and discharging resin and for discharge of treated liquid; a chamber disposed above said chamber and containing a dense moving layer of ion-exchange resin; a water-distributing device and a hydraulic elevator; the chamber with the dense layer has the form of a cylinder whose upper part has a distributing screen and the water-distributing device is positioned in the lower part of the liquefaction chamber being connected with the cylindrical chamber by an overflow device, the liquefaction chamber being sectionalized by trays with overflow cups. EFFECT: higher degree of water purification due to uniform distribution of ion-exchange resin over the section of the chamber for its liquefaction. 2 dwg
