FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: when movable disks 11 are pressed to semi-axle gears by flexible members 2 and torque is absent space 12 provides zero friction moment in assemblies 3 of disk clutches. As there is no preliminary tension of flexible members 2, friction between the intermediate bushings is also absent. With increasing the torque after taking up space 12 resulting from compression of assemblies 3 of disk clutches, friction torque increases resulting in locking the differential. When movable disks 11 is pressed to assembly 3 by flexible members 2 a gap occurs between end disks 10 and disks 11. Owing to preliminary compression of the flexible members and with increasing the torque, the friction moment in assemblies 3 is constant until axial forces in engaging semi-axle gears with satellites and cams reach the force of preliminary compression of flexible members 2. With further increasing the torque, the friction torque in assemblies 3 increases under the action of axial forces until the space is taken up. EFFECT: increased longevity. 3 dwg
