FIELD: development of oil fields by thermal methods applicable in oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method for thermocyclic stimulation of formation includes selection of injection rate of heat carrier ensuring maximum oil recovery under conditions of continuous injection of heat carrier, and injection is effected at selected rate. After increase of heated zone by 3-15% of formation zone, injection is discontinued for 3-60 days. Before injection stopping, injection rate may be increased to maximum possible value. When, at least, 20% of formation volume is heated, nonheated water is injected instead of heat carrier. Before stopping of injection well, injected into formation are solution of alkali, water-oil emulsion and thickening agent. EFFECT: higher oil recovery and reduced heat carrier consumption in oil production. 4 cl, 4 tbl
